We get it, it’s been a LONG spring and it’s only just begun and to top it off we thought we’d be celebrating Easter with our family and friends but instead we’re cooped up inside. Instead of getting down about it though we thought we’d share a few ways that you can still make Easter special this year, while staying safe and staying home.
1. HERE is a list of 12 Make-Ahead Casseroles. We’ve got an eye on the Blueberry Pancake Breakfast Casserole (#3 on the list!) to use up frozen berries, but keep a lookout for recipes where you can easily substitute items on hand rather than run back out to the grocery store (like swapping grits for cornmeal)!
2. It’s been a couple of weeks since large gatherings have been banned and by now many churches have started streaming services. There’s a good chance that your church or another church in your denomination will be streaming an Easter service to celebrate the fact that our Lord has risen! Check out THIS list of NH churches streaming services, it’s being updated as more services are added and please comment below on other sites that have accumulated info per state or where to find the service you’re streaming!
3. Remember the coloring pages that we created for you to enjoy while we’re sequestered indoors, well there’s an Easter page! We’d love to see your creations, so please email them to information@thesoulfest.com. Download the coloring pages HERE.
4. Watch an Easter themed movie, check out THIS list of 10 must-see Easter movies! P.S. for KING & COUNTRY has a song in the 2016 remake of Ben Hur soundtrack 👇.
5. Virtually “meet up” with friends & family over Skype, FaceTime, ZOOM, Google Hangouts & more! We’ve personally had dinner with friends in a zoom chat where we listened to music and talked about what was going on in everyone’s lives (SPOILER ALERT: it’s not as awkward as we thought it would be!). HERE is a handy tutorial of how to get started on ZOOM and bonus points for using one of our downloadable digital backgrounds HERE and dressing up in your Sunday best!
